My school’s been blown to pieces.
Tuesday, August 19th, 2008I have a feeling this particular post is not going to flow very well.
I start school on the twenty-fifth of this month. That has me pretty excited. This semester, I am focusing more on Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine. I mean, I love Computer Science but I’ve never really had my heart 100% set on it; I’ve always left my options open. So I’m trying a new route.
I guess it’s somewhat of a tradition for me to post my school schedule in whatever blog I am currently writing in–this will probably change if I notice anyone stalking me. Ha. Someone stalking me. Right. Oh, now you’re going to do it just to prove me wrong, aren’t you? Bastard.
Fine, I’m only going to post which classes I’m taking and not the time slots, just because of you.
ANSC 100 - Elements of Livestock Production
Meh. I have nothing really interesting to say about this course. Oh! There is the fact that we have a medical textbook trying to explain how diseases look and the colors of different horse breeds and it’s in fucking black and white. It’s like it was photocopied or something, with small white streaks and horrible grain throughout all of the pictures. You’d expect this from a textbook from The Eighties, but, no, copyright 2001.
CHEM 121 - General Chemistry I
This class scares the shit out of me. I hated it in high school and I have no hope that I will have magically changed my thoughts on elements and complex molecules in the span of five years.
JPN 111 - First Year Japanese I
So excited for this class! G might be taking it with me which would make the experience just that much better. Don’t ask me what I plan on doing with my soon-to-be newfound knowledge of the Japanese language, I haven’t the faintest idea.
MATH 181 - Calculus I
You read that correctly. Shannon attempts it again–only this time I’m not going to puss out halfway through. This class is definitely second when it comes to scare factor.
VM 100 - Veterinary Medicine
An introductory course. One credit. One hour per week. Cake. A lot of guest speakers, a whole lot less actual school work.
Sixteen credits.
Oh, hey! Did you know that I am also finally considered a Sophomore? It’s been three long years and I have just now passed that thirty credit mark. Thirty-three to be exact.
And, during summer school: two A minuses. That’s right, a 3.7 GPA.
I am excited for school and I will be happy that I will be busy all the time, but I will be busy all the time. If it’s not school it’ll be work, and if it’s not work it will be homework. It’s going to be this never-ending cycle of Hell that I hope I can actually conquer this time around.
Man, I love bragging about school when I actually have something to brag about. That’s probably because that’s all I really have in my life that I can brag about. And my fucking awesome baby. Ruv her.
